Linux 101 Classes Starting Next Week
Beginning next Tuesday, June 19 2012, we will begin holding a FREE Beginner Linux class at the Noisebridge hackerspace in San Francisco. The classes will be two parts:
The first week will be dedicated to overcoming any fears that new users may have about Linux.
The second week will concentrate on installing Linux as well as some basic BASH commands (apt-get, mv, cp, ls... That kind of stuff).
The classes are at 6:30-8pm on Tuesdays and will reboot every two weeks. Additional assistance with VM's and Dual Boots will occur after class
Noisebridge is located at 2169 Mission St, closer to 18th than 17th. It's right next to the grocery market. There's a phone booth outside. It looks like this:

There's a button to the right of the booth that says, "noise". Ring that ONCE and someone will buzz you in. Ask for the Turing Classroom.
Live media will be supplied or made for you before class. Bring USB thumb drives if possible. Come early if you need help booting from live media
Each class will be recorded and posted to this site if you can't make it. Did I mention that it will be FREE? Noisebridge can always use donations, though.
